Dr. Meghan Helwig graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMDNJ.  A native of Morris County, NJ, Dr. Helwig earned a finance degree from Villanova University where she was the starting goalie all 4 years for the Div. I Big East Field Hockey Team.    While working in NYC Meghan started to go to PT for an injury sustained while training for a half ironman triathlon.  This is where her passion for PT was born.  Dr Helwig made the career change in 2006 to pursue something she loved.

From the start Dr. Helwig knew there were certain techniques she wanted to master such as ART (Active release technique) because they were what helped keep her healthy and training at an elite level for many years.

Dr. Helwig is a full body, Master's certified ART provider.   This is just one of the many "tools" she utilizes in her toolbox to treat her patients.

Dr. Helwig has been a competitive athlete her entire life.  She started out as a competitive swimmer and gymnast and then switched her focus to field hockey, swimming and golf in high school.  After her collegiate years playing field hockey she continued to compete at a high level in triathlon and most recently started Crossfit in 2015.   Dr. Helwig has that competitive mindset and understands the demands on the body.  Her goals are to help her patients continue to do what they love in a safe manner and unlock their full potential.
